Right selection of media is very important; it is dependent on its shape, size, hardness, density and composition of the job. It is very important that the selected abrasive should be such that it serves the purpose appropriately as per the application. CHILLED IRON GRIT

Chilled Iron Grit is angular in shape and is made from cast iron scrap or pig iron. These are widely used for cleaning in foundries, in castings for sand removal, for air blast applications, for removing of old paints, cleaning of castings and metallurgical materials, for blasting of stone and for cutting of stone. Furthermore, these are also suitable for etch structural steel and components prior to coating with paint, metal spray & plastics. They are ideally suited for fast cleaning of heavy contamination on ferrous castings, forgings, fabricated parts, pipes. Not recommended for non ferrous components as surface blasted is iron contaminated.

Carbon Content : 1.7% Min.           Hardness : 750 HV Min.

STEEL SHOTS

Steel Shot is actually a sphere-shaped form of steel casting. They are widely used in shots for blasting operations for inner/outer surface cleaning of steel castings, CI castings, S.G. Iron castings, forgings to name a few. Moreover, these are mainly used for removing rust, dust, scales etc and shot-penning operations in order to remove surface stresses.

Hardness : 400-500HV          Density : 7g/ml Min.

Chemical Composition:
Carbon : 0.6 to 1.25%, Silicon : 0.2 to 1.1           Manganese : 1.25% Max, Sulphur : 0.8 Max.         Phosphorus : 0.08% Max.

GLASS BEAD

Glass beads are contaminant-free, environmentally friendly choice to produce a clean surface. They are suitable for both dry and wet blasting. The impact of the beads removes foreign substances without causing dimensional change, over stressing, pitting or embedding.

They can be used on wide range materials including aluminium, glass, metal, plastic and rubber. Glass beads are gently used to clean, descale, deflash, deburr or shot peen at low intensity on SS, alloy steel.

ALUMINIUM OXIDE (VIRGIN):

Aluminum Oxide Grit (Virgin Brown) contains >95% purity. As an angular, durable blasting abrasive, it can be recycled many times. It is the most widely used abrasive grain in sand blast finishing and surface preparation because of its cost, longevity and hardness. Harder than other commonly used blasting materials, it powder penetrates and cuts even the hardest metals. Aluminum oxide used as a grinding and polishing media is a cost effective and efficient media for tumbling operations that require quick edge rounding, surfacing finishing or cleaning.

 ALUMINUM OXIDE

Fused Aluminium Oxide is artificial corundum, produced to form a very hard angular abrasive. Aluminium Oxide is used for cleaning, descaling, etching, deburring, finishing, and coating removal and surface preparation. It produces an etched finish; finer grits produce a dull Matt finish, while larger grits produce a deep rough etch. Aluminium Oxide is an aggressive blasting media with a very fast cutting speed.

PAINT-O-CLEAN/PLASTIC GRIT

Paint O Clean or Plastic grit is used where a controlled, gentle and non-abrading action, damage or etching of the underlying substrate is required. The low hardness and specific gravity of our product makes it ideally suited in the most sensitive of applications. Suitable for precise de-scaling, de-burring, de-flashing, shining or removal of old paint, cleaning of soft or easily damageable substrates such as aluminum, silver, copper or gold, varnish on precision components while keeping the dimensional tolerances and finish intact. can be used in both dry and wet compressed air assisted blasting equipment and is effective at very low blasting pressures, ensuring no damage to the component being blasted, They are pre-treated with an anti-static agent to prevent adhesion to the component when used in dry compressed air assisted blasting process to avoid wastage. Its high durability and irregular particle shape ensure maximum productivity and abrasive life when utilized in equipment having recycling and reclassification facilities.

WALNUT SHELL POWDER

It is utilized for precise de-scaling, de-burring, de-flashing, shining or removal of old paint, varnish on precision components while keeping the dimensional tolerances and finish intact.

Walnut shell is soft, low, density, angular shape, lowest breakage, produces lowest dust, longer recycle time.
